Why we're free:
It's not about the money. We believe the stories and articles in The Fireside Journal are important for the good of humanity. Because of this, we believe our readers should not have to pay to read the magazine. We would rather that money be donated to helping others.
Half the Amount of Ads
We only allow 25% of our magazine to consist of advertisements. (This is half the US national average of 47-51%.) Our unique model means more quality content for our readers and more meaningful exposure for our select sponsors.
What drives us:
It's about helping others.
Our purpose is to raise awareness and support for the individuals and groups caught in the crossfire of today's humanitarian crises.
Our desire is that our readers will be moved by what they read and will be inspired to share a portion of their time and treasure to help others.
The nazarene fund
The Fireside Journal is proud to be affiliated with The Nazarene Fund - a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Since their inception in 2016, The Nazarene Fund has evacuated more than 10,000 persecuted ethnic and religious minorities from conflict zones around the world and has enabled dozens of rescue missions to recover slaves held by ISIS. Much of The Fireside Journal's content comes directly from the life-saving missions of The Nazarene Fund around the world. If you're looking for a good organization to support, we encourage you to visit The Nazarene Fund's website and see if supporting their life saving operations is something you'd like to be a part of.
